Left by an exotic rare blue bird, the Blue Feather acts as an engagement ring. The player can use it to

propose to the bachelors and bachelorettes in every game, and it is widely known as a popular tradition in the Harvest Moon world.

Island of HappinessEdit

The blue feather is used to propose to your potential spouse. You need to have your potential partner's heart color to at least orange before you can buy it from Chen's shop for 1000G. Since the item is also part of your shipping list, buy one, ship it, then the next day buy another. You MUST have met all the requirements for marriage before you can propose, if you missed any, the proposal will not be accepted because you have missed the requirements.

Tree of TranquilityEdit

Once you have a potential spouse at 8 hearts, Mayor Hamilton will tell you of the Blue Bird legend. After a number of days (usually about 9 to 10 days), you will see a bird fly to the Caramel Falls. If you follow it, the bird will drop one of its feathers, allowing you to pick it up and propose to a potential spouse. This event will only happen on a good weather day.

However, you have to make sure that you experienced every heart event (lunch date, love confession, request, etc.) before you attempt to propose, otherwise, they will not accept the Blue Feather.

In this game the Blue Feather is made into a sort of ring upon the wedding day. Contrary to popular belief, Mt. Gelato does NOT need to be opened

Animal ParadeEdit

After you get the desired bachelor/bachelorette at 7 hearts, he/she will confess his/her feelings for you by the

lighthouse. The day after viewing the event, Hamilton, the mayor will send you a letter regarding marriage.

In the morning, the moment you step out of the door, you will find Mira in front of your house. Take note, this can be triggered only when the love interest reaches 9 hearts. She narrates about the blue bird and suggests you obtain one of it's feathers. On the Garmon Upper Mine, wait on floor 45 till 5:00 pm, when you can go through the mine exit to the summit of the mountain. A brief preview of the blue bird may be seen and you would eventually obtain a blue feather.

A Wonderful LifeEdit

The blue feather is gained towards the end of the summer. It is found by Nic, Nak, and Flak, the three Harvest Sprites. They begin arguing over it and so you get it just to end the fighting. You can then take it to one of the bachelorettes. They must have four hearts to accept. According to Takakura, Blue feathers are very rare and expensive in the city (Muffy notes that they have fake ones in the city, too).

Once you have eight or all the hearts filled for a bachelor/ bachelo

rette, the mayor will come to your house one morning and he will take you to the edge of the mountain and say that there is a blue feather on top of the mountain. You will have to play a mini mountain climbing game, and you will be atop the mountain. Therewill be a blue feather and you have to walk up to it and you will obtain it and two notes (one if you have never been to the peak of the mountain before).

Harvest Moon 64 Edit

Once you find that special girl and have her heart level high enough then the Blue Feather will appear in Rick's shop.
