Blue Feather description in MFoMT
|Obtain by||Purchasing from the Supermarket|
The Blue Feather is a recurring item in the Harvest Moon series. It acts as a sort of engagement ring. In Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town, it is used to propose to the bachelorette that you wish to marry.
The Blue Feather's function is exactly the same in the girl version of the game Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town to propose to the bachelor that you wish to marry. It's an item that is required for marriage.
Obtaining the feather in FoMT is simple. Befriend your chosen bachelor/bachelorette to an orange heart. When you do, the feather becomes available to purchase at the Supermarket. The Blue Feather will go into the Tools section of your Rucksack. Use the feather by using B, and show it to your chosen bachelor/bachelorette. If you've met all of the other marriage requirements, they will accept your feather.
Although the Blue Feather is meant for marriage candidates, it can be showed to villagers. They won't accept the feather, but some of them have something to say about the feather. The reactions to gifts are the same in both Friends of Mineral Town and it's female counterpart.
".. to someone? You have to tell me! Sometimes you're so quiet. ... Well, I guess you don't talk at all.
Bachelorette Reactions (More Friends of Mineral Town)
If you play as a male character, a bachelorette may reject a feather if her affection is not high enough. However, you can still show a bachelorette your blue feather if you play as a girl. They will not accept the feather, but they will still react to the feather. Because the game wasn't properly translated, some of these reactions are still with the boy version in mind. These reactions apply to the female version More Friends of Mineral Town only.
Bachelor Reactions (More Friends of Mineral Town)
While playing as a female character, you have five potential regular bachelors: Cliff, Doctor, Gray, Kai, and Rick. Once you have your potential spouse at a red heart, and after watching all of their events, they should accept your proposal. However, if you try and rush your relationship and propose too early, they will decline your feather.
When you and your bachelor are ready for marriage, show him your feather and he should accept the proposal.
