Cows are bought at Jessica's Animals for 3000 G. If you start in Bluebell, she'll give you an adult cow right away. Otherwise you'll have to buy a baby calf for 1500 G and take care of it for twenty days until it becomes an adult. After the second year rolls around, you can buy Jersey Calfs for 5500 G in the shop and once one has grown up, you can buy them for 13,500 G.
They can make either regular milk or jersey milk depending on the cow. It can then either be sold as it is or fermented into yogurt, cheese or butter. If the cow wins a Cow Festival on Spring 26, they have a chance of producing gold milk (20% for normal cows, 50% for jersey cows).
Thier friendship can be increased by brushing them and letting them outside to graze.
