Dad is the protagonist's father. He is one of the few number of protagonist's parents to actually appear inside the game.
He is rarely mentioned or seen in the game, appearing only in the beginning credits (if you let your game idle at the menu screen) and the ending party scene. When the player decides to run the farm, he gives him a few years to get the farm up and running. He is a businessman in the city and is very dedicated to his work. He will send the player a letter in the mail when he marries and during other important events.
On the first day of the the 3rd Summer, Dad will come back and talk with the villagers about how the player has adapted to farm life and the village. His reactions decide how the game will end. Even after the game ends, it will still go on forever if the player wishes to keep playing.
