Alisa (アリエラ, Ariella^?) is a villager in Harvest Moon DS: Sunshine Islands.

A woman who has devoted her life to the teachings of the Harvest Goddess, Alisa moves to the island with Pastor Nathan. She is always appreciative of everything she sees and is gentle towards all creatures. She moves in once the Mystic Islands have been raised and never leaves except during certain festivals.

Despite not being an eligible bachelorette, Alisa has "heart" events that will trigger as you raise her friendship. When you try to propose to her, Alisa will politely reject and insists that she has to dedicate her life to the Harvest Goddess. Afterwards, you are still free to give the blue feather to another bachelorette.

Purple Heart Event

Enter the church on a sunny day between 6am and 10am. Alisa and the Harvest Goddess must have 3 hearts of friendship or more each.

As you enter the church, you see Alisa looking at the statue of the Goddess. She greets you and asks if you think the Goddess is wonderful.

Saying that you think the Goddess is wonderful is a neutral answer that will not upset Alisa. To gain additional affection, tell Alisa that she is also wonderful! Alisa becomes flustered and says that because the Church took her in when she was young, she hasn't spent much time with people her own age. Alisa thanks you and is happy that she now has someone that she can talk to.

Blue Heart Event

Enter the church on a sunny day between 6am and 10am. Alisa and the Harvest Goddess must have 6 hearts of friendship or more each. The first heart event must have already been viewed.

Alisa greets you when you arrive and is happy to see you again! Things are going great at the church and she asks how the ranch is doing. Because Alisa has only ever worked at the church, she's curious about your life as a rancher. She asks if your work is rewarding.

Answering that you do find the work rewarding makes Alisa happy. She explains that she once grew flowers in a garden which gave her great satisfaction and also made her feel needed. You tell Alisa that you also feel as if you need her, which makes her very happy!

Orange Heart Event

Enter the church between 6am and 10am. Alisa and the Harvest Goddess must have 9 hearts of friendship or more each. The previous events must have already been viewed.

Alisa welcomes you and asks if you'd like to take a walk outside with her today. If you agree, you will be on Mystic Island near the Goddess spring.

As she is looking in to the water, Alisa says that the Harvest Goddess is rumored to live in this very spring. You then amaze her by admitting that you've met the Goddess! Alisa thinks that you are very lucky and hopes to one day see the Goddess herself, when she is worthy. After hearing this, you throw a strawberry into the pond to summon the Goddess. Alisa can't believe what she's seeing and is even more amazed when the Goddess says that she recognizes her. Alisa asks the Goddess if she likes ice cream, to which the Goddess replies that she likes strawberries the most. Alisa also likes strawberries and this makes her happy. After the Goddess fades away, Alisa thanks you for helping her achieve her ultimate dream to meet the Goddess.

Alisa then excuses herself and leaves, ending the event.

Proposal

It is possible to propose marriage by using the Blue Feather once certain conditions have been met. You must have the Husband/Wife bed inside your house, have watched all heart events with the candidate you wish to propose to and the candidate must have a red heart color. Additionally, Mystic Islands must be raised and the Goddess must be spoken to once by throwing a gift into her spring.

The Blue Feather can be purchased from Chen's shop once any marriage candidate reaches an orange heart color. Giving the feather to a candidate at this point would normally result in an accepted proposal. With Alisa, a proposal event will play, but she will decline your feather. Although she has thought about marrying you, she is devoted to her faith and will not abandon it, even for love. She wishes to stay friends and asks if that is still possible. When you assure her that it is, she thanks you.

Trivia

• If you talk to Alisa on your birthday when she has 7 hearts, she will give you either Cheesecake (Year 1), Ice Cream (Year 2), or Fruit Dumpling (Year 3). Depending on the year, there are three different presents available, and they will continue in a set rotation every three years.
  • When Alisa gives you Ice Cream, you can gift it back to her for a major boost of affection, or save it for her birthday in your refrigerator for even more heart points.
