Harvest Moon: Magical Melody (Ranch Story in Japanese) was the third game to be released for Gamecube, but it was released in the PAL regions as a Wii game after the Gamecube version was cancelled.

Players will get the option of choosing between a female and male character (in the Gamecube version only), with 11 marriage candidates for each gender. The Harvest Goddess also makes her return, along with the return of some old characters. Magical Melody also features new characters to the series, and an exciting new plot.
