It seems that Gwen's HoLV page was deleted and I tried my best to repair it but it didn't work and I would like to see it repaired. Thank you and have a good day.
Yeah, it's weird. I think it was just some guy being a jerk to me since the IP address goes on a blog of mine A LOT. But thank you very much and have a great day! :D
Hey I am working on a new design for the Template:LoBNav, see here for how it currently looks.
I tried to make it look basically the same as the current design, in that I have it set up so that 'Characters' will always open while the 'More' tab will require you to click on the 'show' option.
I started writing up some of the articles on the 'More' tab too.
I found some more things to add to the Template:LoBNav, Maker stuff, Locations, and Festivals.
I found the Maker stuff first and made it its own section, but I guess it is getting kind of long... I could merge all the Maker stuff into one article and then put it on the Other section with Locations and Festivals, what do you think?
I've noticed that some pages have an in game/instruction booklet description of the character (HoLV, MM and AWL). On the HoLV pages theres's a quote on the top of the page, which is nice, but the quote template doesn't quiet work for what it is that I'm trying to achieve. It looks funny to me to have the quote, then "entry of so and so" and the game it's from. I'd just like it to be a quote, but I'm not sure how to fix it. I want it so that you can just do the "quote" (description), and to get rid of the other two points on the template. The template is below. Sorry if that's confusing. The quote template is nice if we had a character saying something on the top of each page, but we don't really have that. So maybe change this template or create another (whichever you think is relevant). If you could of course, please. :)
I think I know what you mean. Like this? So it doesn't have the source part, right? I changed the template so we wouldn't have to go to every indivigual page and change it, but I could make a seperate template, if you want.
I've noticed articles where people sign their names when they edit something... this isn't something that is done on a Wikia and was wondering if you knew why people are doing that and also what I should do, if I should remove the signatures I mean.
Signitures should only be on talk pages. So if you see it you can just erase it. I'm not really sure why people would do than on a work page... Thanks for looking out for the wiki. ^_^
Mai is right, signatures should be used at the help desk or if somebody posts a community message or on a talk page. Even in the comments section of pages people don't often sign because they have their own user name.
Well I don't mean signatures as in the four tildes, I mean putting your name on the article to say you wrote something.
When I was normalizing a couple character articles to make them all have the same layout (am not yet done doing this though) I noticed quite a few signatures here and there and cut them out, but then someone just added a Credits category on some of the pages.
We have a base layout for how page are laid out on the Style Manual. However, we can add some of your changes, I'll give Mai a chance to look at it too. Yours is pretty spot on with the Style Manual, but a lot of games don't have the additional stuff (such as heart lines, dialog, etc). We also keep galleries on disambiguation pages for the most part. If there's a gallery, we generally put it into a slideshow, see Chelsea underneath the character box.
Well that was why I said it was just for the ANB characters, I took it from some of them actually. I merged the two most complete articles and made it from that.
You said that the style was made based off of ANB, as most games don't have a lot of the information. So of course, you can keep that style for ANB. All the styles for other characters from games will differ, depending on information available. All the pages will look slightly different, and most ANB characters have been following that template right now if I'm not mistaken.
Noted, I will change them all now then, hopefully this will encourage people to add the unknown info as I've seen happen when I added the Gifts Given section to Neil's article lol
I recently edited something on the wiki, and just wanted to say I really liked the Custom welcome message you made :) The information was helpful, and the picture is darling ^.^
I'm kind of new at the wikia and I was wondering how you made the pictures side by side. I always tried too hard and it always made the picture on top and bottom. Please help!
If you mean like on Amir's page, I just put them in a gallery. On the rght side, when you're editing, they have photo, gallery, slideshow, slider and video. Press gallery, then press add a photo. Then you can either upload it or select this page, if it's already uploaded on that page.
Feel free to ask anymore questions if you still don't get it ^_^
Oh. Sorry, I didn't mean like that because I made a Witch Princess gallery page and the two pictures I put on there were never side by side even though I tried really hard. I tried putting pictures on my page but the pictures were on the top and bottom. D:
