While everybody is playing A New Beginning and Story of Seasons.. I've been working on Tale of Two Towns. A little behind, I know! I thought I'd share my experiences though. Just for fun. Especially because it took me so bloody long to just play through the first year. I've restarted the game several times so I'm glad I finally stuck with it.
I chose to live in Konohana because I traditionally decide to grow crops more than I do raise animals. I am running into problems with the very limited amount of space for chickens (which is what I usually have) so I may move to Bluebell in my second year to try things out living there. I really like the Konohona villagers and the look/feel of the village. I'm a bit nervous about moving to Bluebell because I do have A LOT of crops and utilize the fields. But the two chicken max thing is killing me. I'll also need more sheep and wool for clothing. It also annoys me that you can't have things like the yarn and cheese maker unless you live in Bluebell.
Some other things about my first year...
- I have two chickens (the max you can have in Konohana), two cows and a sheep.
- For pets I've got the cat, small brown dog, large brown dog and owl.
- I've chosen Reina as my future wife and managed to get her to a full bloomed red flower by Winter (with the help of tofu salad from Yun's) and have also befriended Mako to the required 30,000 FP. I got Nori and Georgia to a blue heart and Laney to a green heart (to see flower events for myself for the wikia).
- The mayor's heart level through cooking festivals reached 7.5. I hope I can get the tunnel cleared out soon because this mountain hiking everyday is getting a bit old.
- Got the title of "major vetern farmer". Request level is at 4, 22 types of fish caught, 50 types of critters caught, 30 recipes learned.
My favorite characters are probably Reina, Gombe and Eileen. Chose to play a male character because the girls are all very cute and have nice personalities from what I've seen, but there weren't really any guys that stuck out to me. I mean, Dirk maybe, but he was also who I married in Grand Bazaar.
