Vesta (ベス Besu, lit. Beth) is a character in Harvest Moon DS and Harvest Moon DS: Cute.
Vesta runs a farm parallel to yours across the river with her brother Marlin and their assistant Celia. She has a great deal of farming knowledge and is a hard worker. Her farm only features crops, however, and has no animals unlike the player's farm.
Vesta is a pretty straight forward woman who likes to speak her mind and have a good time. She worries about her brother often and cares deeply for Celia as if she was family.
She's the only person that you can get fruit tree seeds and shiitake mushroom seeds from without a seed maker. Most days she is seen in the fields watering the crops, but will sometimes go inside the store where she will sell the player seeds.
